Description
Module 2
Module 2 consists of a total of 10 units designed for children aged 4-12. These are named as Let’s Go to the Market, Mealtime, My Body, What Should We Wear Today?, Professions, My Classroom, Play Time, Prepositions, What Time Is It?, My One Day. Options are offered seperately for children who can read and write and those who do not.
Module 2 will repeat Module 1 in terms of language structures. It is prepared in a spiral structure to take children’s linguistic skills to the next level. Targeted words and structures include the structures that children may encounter in their daily lives and use in the context of class and home. The module includes four basic language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Reading and writing skills are offered to children as electives. Grammar rules are taught covertly, not explicitly. At the end of the Module 2, the children can understand the contexts and say the required words and formulaic expressions and construct sentences with 3-4 words.
- Lesson Video
Module 2 consists of 10 units. There is a lesson video in each unit. These videos consist of ready-made videos shot in a professional studio. Our instructor introduces words, structures and uses that children may encounter in their daily lives. Appropriate visuals for children were used for teaching the words. For structures and uses there are extra shots and dialogue shots at the end of the course videos by creating contexts for children to use in real life. Through these dialogues and short shoots, children will understand more clearly how and in what context the linguistic structures they are learning are used. All words and structures are taught to children by repetition.
- Interactive Video
Interactive videos are mainly prepared for children who can read and write. These videos include words and structures mentioned in the previous lesson videos and activities aimed at improving children’s reading and writing skills.
- Online Activities and Games
After each lesson video comes online activities and games. Activities are created for children such as Drag & Drop, Memory Game, Listen & Find!, Speak the words!, Which One Is True?, Which One Is False?, Sequencing, Write the words!. Thus, they will repeat and reinforce what they have learned without being bored and having fun.
- Songs and Stories
Module 2 includes Turkish children songs and audio stories for children. The stories in Module 1 are again simplified in Module 2 by our instructors who are experts in teaching Turkish as a foreign language for children at Module 2 level. In addition to these stories, there are new stories for Module 2. These stories include the vocabulary, structure and uses that children learned before. There are also new structures, words and uses that they can understand within the context. Thus, children will learn new structures and reinforce what they have learned.
- Worksheets
There are separate studies for each unit. There are separate worksheets for those who can read and write and those who do not. These worksheets are in PDF format and can be printed out and used as a booklet. This allows children to work on paper and assimilate what they have learned.
- Tests
At the end of each unit there are two separate tests for those who can read and write and those who do not. Each test is divided into two. The first is the general end-of-unit test and the second is the speaking test. It is possible to see the result of the general unit end test instantly online. The speaking tests will be examined by our instructors.
- 30 Minutes Live Test
At the end of Module, the Turkish4 team does not find pedagogically right to examine the children. However, our instructor optionally conducts a one-to-one assessment interview with the children. This interview is live and 30 minutes. It is made by appointment and must be an adult with the child. This test is not required.
- Parent Feedbacks
At the end of the module, information is provided about the development and situation of children. The reports provided automatically by the system are sent to the parent’s e-mail address.
- Certificate of Participation
A certificate of participation is given to every child who completes all of the units and completes Module 2. The certificate of participation does not include the percentage of success. The percentage of success will be included in the detailed report that will be sent exclusively to the parent’s email address.
